Over the course of the years, we all have to deal with something that turns our life upside down. Illness, a car accident, the death of someone close to us. NN aims to be with you during all these moments. To keep your worries to a minimum.

I have a life insurance policy
e.g.: Death insurance, debt balance insurance, pension insurance, savings and investment packages, etc.
I have a non-life insurance policy
e.g. Home insurance, car insurance, family insurance

What do you want to report?

Reporting work disability as an employer.

As an employer, do you need to report a case of work disability for one of your employees? So that we can assess the medical situation correctly and process the application quickly and efficiently, we need following documents.


What documents or details do you need to provide as an employer?

  • the completed, signed report from the employer;
  • a statement with the exact date of resuming work (when available);
  • the work disability documents stating the duration and degree of disability (from day one of the work disability, to the presumed final date);
  • in case of pregnancy: the date of delivery for a birth and the last name and first name of the child. (If you wish, you can also provide a copy of the birth certificate.)

All communication about medical documents takes place in total confidentiality, directly and only with the employee.


What documents does the employee need to provide?

  • the claim, completed and signed; 
  • the medical certificate, completed and signed by the doctor; 
  • a clearly legible front/back copy of the identity card;
  • a clearly legible copy of the bank card; 
  • a copy of all medical documents relating to the work disability: operation notes, hospitalisation report, case progress report from the specialist, etc.

After receiving the documents, our chief advisory doctor will decide whether NN Insurance Belgium nv will pay out on the claim.

I wish to report a death.

The loss of a friend, family member or colleague is always a traumatic event. And when it happens, you probably have all sorts of things going on in your mind. That’s why you can rely on NN Belgium, night and day. 

To alleviate your worries, we keep the administrative side of things to a minimum. And we’re there to guide you, step by step. As a surviving relative, are you entitled to a payment? If so, we will do everything in our power to ensure your receive it quickly. 

Which documents do we need to receive from you?

  • the death certificate, which can be obtained from the town hall or council offices of the town/city or municipality where the death occurred;
  • a completed and signed medical certificate;
  • the contact details of the beneficiaries.

Depending on the type of policy held by the deceased, additional documents may be required. If this is the case, our managers will contact you.
